Volunteered at OFA Phone Bank
Yesterday, I enjoyed volunteering at the Organization For America’s Phone Bank at the West Harlem Democratic Club offices on Amsterdam Avenue. While I delivered the scripted message to new voters, I noticed that over 20 people came in to help. Each caller had a list of 40 “new” voters to call and ask them if they were committed to vote in the November 2nd election.
After finding that answer, we asked these voters, many who were registered Democrats, if they were going to support Congressman Bishop and State Senator Gillibrand. Many people were not home but I did connect with 6 voters out of my 44 who were committed to voting in 2012.
I plan to return to help again. -
